WHO DRIVES YOU?

Yesterday a friend of mine and I were visiting about how our friends drive. She shared with me that one of her friends drives 40 then 55 then 60 then 80 never a steady pace.  She told me she liked to ride with me because I have a steady pace and I get us there.  I set my cruise on 70 and full speed ahead.  She said she was amazed at how I knew exactly where to go and where to park.  I never had to reroute I just drove and got us to our destination.

I wish I could say that I had always driven my life like I drive my car, however I haven’t.  Before I was rooted in faith I was much like the inconsistent driver that my friend had ridden with.  Sometimes I was 80 mph with the Lord and sometimes I was at a snails pace.  Sometimes I knew exactly where I was going, but many times I had no clue nor did I care to know.  At times I parked in the wrong spot.  Other times I would go in the wrong direction and have to reroute myself after much pain and suffering.  This was a life that I don’t want to revisit, yes many lessons, but also much heartache.

I am so glad that now I let the Lord drive my life.  He routes me in the right direction and enables me not to get lost.  He never loses His pace and He keeps me at a steady and constant speed.  By letting Him be my GPS, I can go full speed ahead, know where I am going and not get lost.

Stay rooted in faith, plant yourself.
