ICE

Twenty-four degrees at noon, the only thing that makes it possible to exercise is the rays that are streaming down.  As I walk you can see the breath when exhaled from my mouth.  The ice is in the gutter slowly melting and the water is streaming down into the drain.  This is how I must relax my body.  My body, mostly tense like the ice, has to slowly release and relax into the liquid state.  As I am mediating on the melting of my body, I am also talking and walking with God.
I can’t do this alone; my body is unable to totally become what I need to be without His help.  It is because of Him that my body is transforming into the person that He wants me to be.

Focus on peace and what brings that peace to you.  Relax your body letting it drift into that happy place.  Let the Lord make you over into the person He wants you to become.  Don’t fight His plan.  Let Him take you apart and make you an image of Him. It will not be easy nor will this transformation move quickly.  Change is a progression that takes time. You may feel that you are an iceberg trying to melt in Alaska.  But you will gain patience through Him.

Don’t let the winter seasons of your life bring you down into a dark pit.  Let the ice melt off your body and regain the inner strength that you have from the power of the Holy Spirit, which resides within.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
New International Version (NIV)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Ephesians 3:16
New King James Version (NKJV)
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
