DIRECT YOUR STEPS

Do you ever have an uneasy feeling?  You keep asking yourself am I really supposed to be doing this?  This is the way I felt this morning.   I got up early to drink my coffee and watch Joel Osteen at 8:00am and then began preparing for church.  I had decided that it would be a great idea for our church to get healthy.  For a year we were going to do The Daniel Plan as a church.  This made perfect sense because the Daniel plan is a successful plan because it is based on faith.  This morning however I felt very uneasy.  I questioned the Lord asking Him “Are you sure I’m supposed to be doing this?” As I questioned I began to read Jesus Calling.  The title of today’s devotion was Let Me Prepare You.  To summarize the passage stated, Let God prepares you for what is going to happen during the day.  He knows what our journey will be and He will equip you for your path.  All we must do is trust in Him and spend time with Him.  Whenever we are apprehensive whisper his name and he will redirect us.  “Ok Lord,” I said to myself, “I know this is where you are pointing me.”  I got ready for church and before I walked out the door I give the Lord one more chance to redirect and reroute me.  I picked up one of the motivational pebbles I make and it read, “God didn’t add another day to your life because you need it, he added it because someone out there needs you!”  Ok Lord knock me over hit me head and get me out the door.

I got to church said my spill and many were excited about the new challenge of The Daniel Plan.  We are having our first Daniel Dinner Jan 30th.  This is the good that happens when you allow God to direct your steps and you listen.  Let the Lord direct you.
