SMILEY FACE
I love smiley faces, always have always will. When I taught high school students and junior
high students they loved them too. Young
and old love smiley faces. Lets just be
honest, who doesn’t like a smiley face?
Everyone does. Smiles are
contagious much like yawns are. Years
ago my husband asked me, “If you could
have anything in the world what would it be?”
I thought for a moment and then said, “Just happiness, be happy!”
There is a prescription for happiness. It is different from medication. It
doesn’t come in a pill bottle and your doctor doesn’t have to prescribe it to
you. It is easy to attain and you can
find it everywhere and anywhere.
If we turn our lives over to the Lord and allow the Holy
Spirit to reside within us we will be happy.
That doesn’t mean that adversity won’t come into our lives, but living
with the Holy Spirit dwelling in us we will have contentment through all
circumstances. Being happy is a by-product of standing firm in faith. When our lives are truly devoted to Him, we
will be happy, even during the trails of our lives.
.
So when bad comes your way and the sunshine is hiding behind
the clouds turn to Him. If it is raining
on your parade or you feel the walls are caving in on you turn to Him. Don’t let anything bring you down, just turn
to Him. God wants you to be happy. He smiles when we smile. Don’t worry have faith in Him be content in
whatever circumstance, be happy!
Acts 2:28
New International Version (NIV)
28
You have made known to me the paths of life;
you
will fill me with joy in your presence.’[a]

YOU ARE AWESOME
Sometimes your kite will fly high; sometimes it will get
stuck in a tree. Someday you may get
ice cream, some days you won’t. There
are lots to see and smell, it is a pretty cool place, you can sing, dance and
laughing is the best. Someday gross
things will happen someday awesome things will happen. It is just how it is
here. Plenty of reasons to dance, you
just have to look for them. You won’t be
doing anything alone, there are lots of people here, some of them will be very
nice and some won’t be. It’s not that
they can’t be nice; maybe they are having a bad day. Being a person is hard sometimes; sometimes
you need to give them a high five for just getting out of bed.
Treat everyone like it’s their birthday, because we all mess
up sometimes. The biggest mess up is not
forgiven each other’s mess-ups. There is
so much to do here. Take a breath,
isn’t it amazing it is called breathing, enjoy it pay attention.
Take brain pictures, things will happen everyday that you
need to remember. You are awesome; you
are made from love, to be loved and to spread love. Love is always louder, shout to the world
things can be better. I’m really glad
you are here we don’t say that enough to each other because life gets busy,
don’t get too busy, let everyone know that you are glad they are here. You are awake you are awesome live like it.
The above are so true. It is a letter to a person who is experiencing
their first day on earth. After you read
this you must watch the video. Kid
President brings a smile to my face every time I watch one of his videos. This one he hit dead on.
Sometimes things will go well sometimes they
won’t. You may have things you want and some days you
may not. Something’s are good and
something’s are bad. There are plenty of
reasons for us to be happy we just have to find them. Find a reason to laugh everyday, it is out
there. People may need a pep talk, don’t
hesitate to give it to them. Take time
and breath, just breathe, and enjoy the moment and the air. Make mental note of the beauty that surrounds
you. Remember what your brain pictures look like so you can recall the images
when you are sad or lonely. Tell people
they are awesome. Spread the love and
care for one another. That is what the
Lord wants us to do. My favorite is, “The
biggest mess up is not forgiven each other’s mess ups.”
Thank you for reading my posts, you are AWESOME!!!!!

ICE
Twenty-four degrees at noon, the only thing that makes it
possible to exercise is the rays that are streaming down. As I walk you can see the breath when exhaled
from my mouth. The ice is in the gutter
slowly melting and the water is streaming down into the drain. This is how I must relax my body. My body, mostly tense like the ice, has to
slowly release and relax into the liquid state.
As I am mediating on the melting of my body, I am also talking and
walking with God.
I can’t do this alone; my body is unable to totally become
what I need to be without His help. It
is because of Him that my body is transforming into the person that He wants me
to be.
Focus on peace and what brings that peace to you. Relax your body letting it drift into that
happy place. Let the Lord make you over
into the person He wants you to become.
Don’t fight His plan. Let Him
take you apart and make you an image of Him. It will not be easy nor will this
transformation move quickly. Change is a
progression that takes time. You may feel that you are an iceberg trying to
melt in Alaska. But you will gain
patience through Him.
Don’t let the winter seasons of your life bring you down
into a dark pit. Let the ice melt off
your body and regain the inner strength that you have from the power of the
Holy Spirit, which resides within.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
New International Version (NIV)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away,
yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and
momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs
them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is
unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Ephesians 3:16
New King James Version (NKJV)
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be
strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

BLANKETS
Made of different fabrics,
soft and lush, the texture that is silky smooth. The make up is that of hundreds of different
threads woven together to make one bonded covering. What a blanket does is give you comfort,
wraps you in security, and gives you a sense of peace. The overlay that envelops your being,
wrapping you as tight as you want to become.
Swaddling you as if you are being held hostage by the cloth that
encircles your body.
Just as one of my dear
friends quoted today, “Friendship is like a blanket!” Friends come from all backgrounds and all
different walks of life. They give us
comfort and surround us with their love.
When we are with them there isn’t anything that is done or said that
isn’t embraced. They bring joy to our
hearts and warmth to our souls. You can
be close or far away, but the bond between true friends is something that can
never be broken. They are our chosen
family who accept our warts and know all about us and love us just the
same.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you
are doing.
Text, write or call a friend
today. You will be glad you did! Love you man!

GOD WINK
Never finishing, yes that is what I usually do. One of my fellow Libra friends told me that this
is characteristic of those that are born within the zodiac sign. We seem to get many things going, but never
conclude or close the deal. This is the
year I have decided to close a few deals.
I have a project that I am working on and it is my number one priority
to finish during 2014. I have set many
things in place and gotten the ball rolling.
One piece is a children’s book. I
have written it and all I need now is an illustrator. I know many artist but most of them are so
busy doing other things that the job of drawing the pictures for a children’s
book isn’t appealing. I did think of one
friend that I met during a reading workshop.
A very talented man who teaches English and sign language at the school
of the deaf. I logged into Facebook and
searched for him only to find out we weren’t friends anymore. I was so disappointed, “oh well,” I said to
myself, “something will work out.”
A few days past and I kept thinking about the illustration
of my book. I guess I could draw the
pictures myself, but detail isn’t my strong suit. Back on Facebook I checked my friend
requests, you are never going to believe it.
Just after 72 hours of searching for my friend he had sent me a friend
request. Chills filled my body; it was a
God thing. I accepted him and sent him a
message. The next part is even more amazing;
he draws illustrations for Christian children books!
God speaks to us. He
speaks to us through the power of coincidence.
Many miss this because they don’t realize he is speaking and they don’t
listen for His voice. I love these
opportunities of hearing from Him. It reminds
me of how much he wants me to continue the plan he has put before me to
accomplish. In the book, “When God Winks
At You, “ Squire Rushnell states that every time you receive what some call a
coincidence or an answered prayer, it’s a direct and personal message of
reassurance from God to you- what I call a Godwink.”
Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the
Lord determines his steps. Follow His
plan for you, let Him direct your steps and you will be opened up to His
wonderful Godwinks. You will find that
He winks at you many times and with these winks He is saying, “I love you, I am
here for you, follow me for the rest of your life.”
When God Winks At You, Squire Rushnell, MJF books, 2006
