Pure this was the word on the back of the rice cereal box
for babies. Babies are born pure is what
the words said. Pure being that which is free from contamination. Wholesome untainted, being pure and
innocent. When pure there are no
unnecessary elements. We aren’t mixed
with any other material.
Yes we are born pure, but yet sinners. We are thrown into a wicked world that is
complicated, dark and corrupt. How do we
go back to the state of being a pure sinner like the state we are in at
birth? How do we become pure again? How do we free ourselves of all the contamination
and live a pure life?
When we have blatantly blown our purity we crave to be pure
again. Because we were all born sinners
there is only one way to become pure and that is through Jesus. He died on the cross for all of the things we
did that has brought impurity to us. He
absorbed all the punishment that we deserved.
Because of the resurrection our sins were paid in full. The wrath of God landed on Jesus. Because of our sinful nature we must turn
everyday to Him and repent. Turn away
from sin and turn toward God. God will
sanctify you through Jesus. Sanctification
is a life long process. God will
continue to work on you for the rest of your life. God will continue to make you pure in spirit,
in soul and in body. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
There is no purity outside of God. Go to Him and confess your sins. 1 John 1:9 confess your sins to God and He
will forgive you. There is no IF in that
scripture. It is the word WILL that
should jump off the page at you. HE WILL
FORGIVE YOU. There is no forgiveness
outside of Him. (1 John 1:10)
Walk in this tainted corrupt world pure and clean. Go to Him everyday repenting for the day
before and the present. You WILL become
pure and forgiven. There is only one sure way to remove the contamination and
that is through Him!
