Jay told me not to put that doggie gate there, but I did it
anyway. He told me that someone was
going to try and step over it, stumble and fall. Yep, he was correct and that person who
stumbled and fell was, ME! I stepped
over my back foot caught and down I went.
Didn’t really hurt myself, I have enough padding, however just another
thing that he told me not to do and I didn’t listen.
In life we all stumble.
We may stumble over something in our way or we may stumble in our walk
with God.
The point is we are all sinners, but even when we fall over
something stumbling into a sinful situation God doesn’t quit loving us nor does
He leave us. It is then that He is there for us even more. He wants us to make it over the hurdle that
has tripped us. He wants us to stand up
and start going again.
In Psalm 37:23-24 there is a key word that is very
important.
In some of the
versions of this scripture the word when is used where the word though is
located. Both of these words give
assurance that we will stumble. It would
be different if the word if was there, however it isn’t. Though and when mean that we will defiantly
“fall.”
It is a certainty no
one is perfect. We will stumble and we
will fall, however just as a baby falls while trying to walk, we get back up
and learn from the fall.
Our falls as a Christian
are important for our faith walk. God
loves us as we stumble, nothing can separate us from the love of God. So THOUGH you fall, get up and walk on!
