HOLD

I feed baby bear his bottle and then held him tight.  Even though he is a great burper, he must have had a gas bubble.   He screamed for a few seconds while grabbing my shirt.  I rocked him gently as his body relaxed in my arms and he slowly fell asleep.  Even though sound asleep his hand clenched onto my shirt and necklace as if he was saying, “Don’t put me down.”  If I could I would hold him forever. 

Do you ever wish you had someone to hold you?  Someone to hold you when the world is falling apart around you?  Don’t you think it would be great to be able to clench onto and hold on to that which makes you feel secure?

This is what the Lord does for us.   When we put our life in God’s hand he is our security.  He holds us everyday.  He wraps His loving arms around us to protect us.  We are within His reach wherever we are.  We can clench onto Him and He will lead us down the path that He has laid out in front of us.  With the Lord as our shepherd we are secure in every situation because we are loved and blessed. 

When we put our faith and trust in Him, He will never put us down.  He will protect us and make us feel secure.   

We should relax because the Lord holds us safely in the palm of His hand.  He will never put us down!
