We sit and we wait.
We get edgy ready for something to happen. We are running out of patience tired of the
anticipation. It isn’t up to us when the
baby will decide to make his grand entrance in the world. So we must wait.
We are waiting on our first grandchild to arrive. It doesn’t matter if we are ready or not it
all depends on when he is ready to tackle the birth process.
People have to wait on things everyday. We have to wait in line, wait for our
appointment, wait for the stop light, wait for a medical report, wait through a
commercial, wait for the internet to connect, we live in a world of wait, wait,
wait. We even put family and friends off
by saying, “Wait a minute.”
We may go to God with one of our situations and He may also
make us wait. Remember God doesn’t
operate like we do. He doesn’t live in
the world of hustle and bustle. God will
give us clear direction in His timing.
It may be today, it may be tomorrow, it may be in a month or even a
year. He seldom gives us instructions quickly. (Psalm 32:8)
The waiting period gives us peace instead of the rushing that causes
chaos. He waits so that we can handle
the answer. The wait time enables us to
gain strength and trust in Him. When we
wait the truth will be sifted out and this truth will rise to the surface
giving us the perfect outcome.
One of the most difficult things for us as Christians to do
is wait. This wait period no matter how
we feel about it isn’t wasted. Even
though nothing can speed up Gods grand design for you, He is giving us the path
that is best for us. There is purpose in
the waiting. Don’t rush ahead there are
lessons He is teaching us during the wait.
God decides the wait time.
He will tackle our problems when He is ready.
Isaiah 30:18New International
Version (NIV)
18
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you
compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed
are all who wait for him!
