“Don’t think of the things you “didn’t” get after
praying. Think of the countless
blessings God gave you without you even asking.”
This is the quote I came across this morning. How many times have you prayed for something
and it not happened? When this happens
you may become frustrated and upset, but there is a reason for unanswered
prayers. You may not be able to
understand the reasoning but maybe one day you will.
When our prayers are answered it builds our faith and
strengthens us, however when prayers are unanswered it makes us weary. It is difficult to find the answer in God’s
silence. So how do we? We can look in the bible and find scripture of
those who struggled when there was God’s silence. (Hab. 1:2) Habakkuk called for help. (Ps. 22:2) David cried by day and God didn’t
answer causing him to have no rest.
I found a really great article that gave this answer:
Prayer has to be in accordance to God’s will. When we pray it isn’t meant for us to
persuade a reluctant God to do something, which is against His better judgment. Praying must be in harmony with what God has
revealed to be His plan for the world.
If we pray the will of God He will answer. (bible.org Does God Let Your
Prayers Go Unanswered? www.walvoord.com John F. Walvoord)
God will answer you. It
may not be your answer, but He will answer.
It isn’t our decision anyway it is His.
Pray for His will and you will find blessings.
