We had to get the key to the house. It was located up above the door on a ledge,
however we were too short. First I got
some New Years Eve horns out of my car and we tried to reach them, with that no
luck. Then Lauren decided she would pull
up the planter and stand on it. “I don’t
think that is a very good idea,” I told her.
She didn’t think anything of it.
She thought because it felt sturdy that it would hold her weight. At first it did, then crash into many pieces. The result her falling on the ground hitting
her leg, smashing her hand and messing up her ring. That planter didn’t hold her up and the
result pain and hurting.
There are times in our lives when we need to be held
up. We need a sturdy planter underneath
our feet. We need stability to carry us
through any situation. We don’t need to
worry that everything will crash under us leaving us hurt, disheveled and
hopeless.
God is our constant help and the stable platform under our
feet. He grasps us when we are beginning
to fall and embraces us in the midst of trouble. He
remains secure and intact never crumbling underneath us. He can withstand any weight that we
bear. God has no limitations.
Psalm 147:5 NIV Great is our Lord and might in power; his
understanding has no limit.
