SLEEP AND SLUMBER

Overslept!  I hate when I do that.  My alarm goes off and what do I do?  I hit the button and back into a grand slumber I go.  I love to get up early when the sun hasn’t awakened yet.  I get much accomplished in the wee hours of the morning, but not lately.  I haven’t been able to sleep so the result is hitting the snooze button.  Starting tomorrow it is up and at it again, no if’s and’s or buts about it.

Thank goodness God doesn’t over sleep.  He never misses an hour of daylight to get things done.  He is ever present in every situation and circumstance no matter what time it is.  He doesn’t have to worry about His alarm clock not going off or hitting the snooze.  Snooze, sleep and slumber aren’t in his vocabulary.

Psalm 121 gives us the hope and assurance of God’s protection day and night.  All our trust should go to Him.  He made the heavens the earth our trust should never linger.  He is powerful and watches over all of us 24 hours everyday.  Nothing diverts or deters Him.  He isn’t tired or sleepy.  His eyes are open for us at all times.  He watches over us now and forevermore.

Trust in God day and night.  He is your security guard that never slumbers.  He won’t oversleep and He will always be on time.  His alarm is always working.  Thanks be to Him that never snoozes.

Every evening I turn my worries over to God.  He’s going to be up all night anyway! (Pinterest)
