YOU ARE A PROMISE AND A POSSIBLITY

It came in the mail on my birthday.  Those folks don’t wait around.  On the outside of the envelope were the capital letters AARP!  I chuckle to myself!  The red and white card had my name, my authorization code and the words “REAL POSSIBLILTIES” written above the AARP.  Some people may go into cardiac arrest when this card comes in the mail, but I’m going to see the possibilities that go with getting older. 

REAL POSSIBLITIES!  No matter how old you are there are real possibilities out there for you.  Writing about possibilities reminds me of a song we use to sing when we would start our day at the elementary school where I taught.  Our music teacher was awesome and would really jazz up the song.  Anyone that went to our school, no matter how old they are now, can still sing the song. 

“You are a promise you are a possibility, you are a promise with a capital P, you are a great big bundle of potentiality, so if you listen you can hear the right voice and if you try it you can make the right choice, you are a promise to be everything you want to be!”

How true is this?  God made you a great big bundle of potential, however many of us don’t find it.  We leave our gifts and talents hidden from the world.  We are worried, we are scared and we are full of fear.  We are stuck in a rut and have lost enthusiasm for life.  We feel inadequate or unprepared. 

God has given you REAL POSSIBLITIES you just have to find them.  You can do much more than you realize!  All you have to do is listen to His voice.  He will lead you to what His purpose is for you.  He will place small God nudges in front of you. Be aware of His presence and spend time with Him.  When we do He will enable us to make the correct choice in carrying out the job He has for us.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God believes that we are a promise and a possibility.  His plans for us are full of good things.  His mission for us is great.  Just know that you have to carry out His plan. 

Listen to His voice.  You are a promise and a possibility!
