Yesterday I started a new book. It began with a story about a snake that got
into a hen house. The hens began running
around and the snake got the last egg.
The snake had methodically worked his way into a crack and disrupted
those hens. He managed to retrieve
exactly what his mission and purpose was.
This is what Satan does in our lives. He finds a crack and a crevice in us. He finds the door that we have left open and
he invites himself in. Even if we don’t
have a welcome sign, even if we have a cross at the door it doesn’t
matter. Satan is bold he steps up and
slips right into the kitchen. He plops
himself down at the kitchen table and makes himself at home. He is comfortable making us uncomfortable.
Has Satan gotten into your henhouse? Has he invited himself in and made himself at
home? It is time you make him feel
unwelcome.
When our alarm is set and someone opens the door the sound
is heard all over the neighbor hood, intruder intruder leave immediately! This is what you need to do. When Satan has walked through your backdoor
let him know he isn’t wanted. Make it
known to him that he is an intruder.
Yell at the top of your lungs so the whole neighborhood can hear, “Satan
get out!” Let the power of God rule your home.
Keep the spirit of pray and praise within your life. When you yell, pray and praise, Satan will
not shuffle out the door he will run!
James 4:7-8New International
Version (NIV)
7 Submit
yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near
to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you
double-minded.
*The book I began
reading is THE SPIRIT OF PYTHON by Jentezen Franklin. I urge you to go out this weekend and buy
it. If you are doing a good work for the
Lord and you feel the devil is trying to work his way in this is the book for
you. Love it! Thanks Dina for the recommendation.
