SOMEDAY

http://passontopresson.com/so/2L1XDfP6

The word we should never say is SOMEDAY.  Have you ever said someday I will do that?  Someday I will do what I should be doing?  Someday I will start that diet?  Someday I will clean that closet?  Someday I will volunteer?  Someday?

Our days are numbered.  Many of us think that we will live forever.  We say to ourselves, “I have plenty of time to get that task done.”  We have plenty of time to spare, but guess what?  You don’t.  We must begin living for today because today is the only day that we are certain that we have.

TODAY IS THE SOMEDAY.  It is the day for you to start living out your purpose and plan on earth that the Lord has presented before you.  If the Holy Spirit has been nudging you to get the job done get to it.

James 4:17 (NIV) anyone who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it sins

Does that scripture say what I think it says?  Yes it does.  If the Lord has put something into motion in our hearts and we don’t follow through than we sin.  The Lord gives us the truth to move forward.  He has given us gifts and talents to share with others and serve others.  Think of how much encouragement is wasted because we don’t do what He tells us to do.  We are keeping many from possessing joy because we don’t share joy.

Why do we not follow through with what God nudges us to do?

In an article written by Rick Warren (Why Do I Procrastinate?) He gives 5 reasons in the Bible we procrastinate.

Indecision. "A double minded man is unstable in all he does."  (James 1:8 LB)
Perfectionism. "If you wait for perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done!" (Ecclesiastes 11:4 LB)
Fear. "The fear of man is a trap."  (Proverbs 29:25 LB)
Anger. "A lazy person is as bad as someone who is destructive." (Proverbs 18:9 GNT)
Laziness. "Lazy people want much but get little, while the diligent are prospering." (Proverbs 13:4 LB)

Are you questioning God?  Are you worried that if not perfected completely it isn’t good?  Are you waiting for the perfect time?  Are you scared that the idea placed inside your head is silly?  Are you worried that others will think you have gone crazy?  Are you just sleeping too late, being lazy or telling yourself you are just too tired to get the job done?

If you have ever said these things to yourself you have let Satan wrap himself around you.  He is keeping you from doing what the Lord knows is the good work in you.

A trainer named Shola wrote in one of his articles this statement:

Each day where you choose “someday” over “today” is another day where you deny yourself of actually living your dream during your very limited (and constantly dwindling) time on this earth.  (Read more at The Positivity Solution)

Do not choose someday, choose today and get going.

“Death is not the greatest loss in life.  The greatest loss is what dies in us while we live.” Norman Cousins

TODAY is my “50th” birthday.  I have chosen today to be my someday.  Are you going to choose today to be your someday also?
