Both teams were suited up in their gear. Helmets, pads, jerseys and cleats were in
place and ready for the game. It was a
tough game. Back and forth the
score. During one play the quarterback
received a hard hit to the shoulder. He
was out of the game. He wasn’t out of
the game but out for the season. Being a
senior everyone was devastated. What had
started out to be a great year was quickly going down hill because of an
injury.
Have you ever been playing the game and then all of a sudden
received a hard hit? This hard hit
knocked you for a loop and stopped you in your tracks. You were injured and hurt. You didn’t think you could keep on
going.
Maybe you have received a hard hit for a reason. Instead of looking at the hit as devastating
it may be God’s answer to prayer. He
evidently has a new direction in mind for you.
Saul was playing his own game when he received a hard
hit. He was out for the count, blind and
helpless. But look what became of him,
Paul. God had a different plan and
purpose for Saul. It was a far greater
plan than Saul had for himself.
Don’t dwell in the past of what you think you could have
been. Look towards the future at what
God knows you can be. Get back in the
game with a new purpose and a new plan.
Trust Him it will be more profitable than the one you had planned
for.
Get back in the game with God’s armor and His plan and
purpose for your life and you will win!
