My word for May 6th is STAINED!

My word for May 6th is STAINED

Being a farmer, Jay’s cloths are always stained.  He will only wear white t-shirts and khaki shorts.  Two colors that are light and that stain easily.  He won’t let me throw any away.  He keeps wearing the soiled clothes over and over.  This drives me crazy, so I have set my mind on cleaning these soiled stained items of clothing.  I have started soaking them for a day in stain remover and bleach water.  I will rinse them in the washer and then wash them.  They aren’t getting completely stain free, however they are better.

We can be stained or soiled.  On the inside we can be stained with hurt, stained with anger, stained with fear.  We can try many things to get rid of the dirt and grim.  We can buy things or get involved in things to try and get rid of the filth, but this only temporarily will satisfy’s us.  There is only one way to get us clean.  The only way is with God’s grace.  It is God’s grace that is working on us every minute of everyday to cleanse us making us free from dirt and grim.  Even when we have done things that God doesn’t approve of or we have not been faithful, God’s grace still sets in to clean us.  God responds to us even if we are stained.  In God’s eyes stains are never set in us permanently, they are only temporary waiting on Him to remove the grim.

Nothing is hidden from God.  The wonderful thing about Him is He loves us “dirt and all”.  He loves us when we are free from stains and He loves us when we are filthy dirty.  God is like resolve.  He will spray his cleansing upon us and resitate down into our souls through his grace.  He will resolve any of our heartaches and shame and make us clean again.  There is no stain that God can’t get out!

Dear Lord we know that your grace pours out love, kindness, and favor to all of us who trust You.  Even if we are stained you still care about us.  We come to You today to help remove all the stains that are visible and the stains that can’t be seen.  Only through You can we be clean.  Help us to get rid of our dirt and grim allow us to release a fragrance of clean to those around us.  During our journey of 2012 help us to be spotless for You.

2 Peter 3:18 NIV
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

1 Peter 5:5-7 NIV
In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a] Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
