MY WORD FOR JULY 8 IS PRIORITIES!

My word for July 8^th is priorities

What is a priority for you?  What do you put first in your life?  How do we decide what is important?  As humans we will take time for whatever it is that is important to us.  If it is important for us to read we will read, if it is important for us to exercise we will exercise, if the Lord is important to us we will fill our days with him.  We all make time for things that really matter to us.  So I ask you now, during this year of 2012 will you make the Lord a priority in your life?  Will you find the time everyday to squeeze Him into your busy schedule?

If you answered no, then you need to work on your to do list.  We each need to make time everyday to go into our quiet place and spend time with God.  Each day is a gift from Him and we should make it a priority each day to walk in faith.   I have to admit that it took me a few years to realize what I needed to do, that I needed to begin everyday with Him.  Once I began to do this, my life has changed.  Have I still had to deal with hardships?  The answer is yes, however how I have handled the adversity is completely different.  I am calm during the storms of life, looking at the hardships in a positive way, seeing how these times of trails have transformed me into a better person.

Get your priorities straight.  Put God first on your “To Do List”.  Your days will be full of peace and harmony with Him first.

2 We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2 For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

Dear Lord help me to always make you a priority.  We all have lists in life, but we want to make you #1.  Assist us in keeping You at the top of our list everyday.  Guide us in completing our lists and realizing what matters and what really isn’t important.  Thank you for making us a priority and in turn we want to give back to You.   During 2012 we want to do always have You first.
