MY WORD FOR JULY 10 IS CRAZY!

My word for July 10^th is CRAZY

We’re crazy that’s what I said we’re crazy were gonna knock um dead, we’re

 C R A Z Y, are we so crazy.  This was on old 1979 chant that we use to say when I was a cheerleader.  Yes we were crazy, crazy for cheering that chant.  The first thing that people think of when they use the word crazy is that of being insane, however I like the definition of being possessed by enthusiasm or excitement.  The reason why I wrote about the word crazy wasn’t because I sometimes think I am crazy, but because driving home yesterday I heard the song, “Love Like Crazy” by Lee Brice.  As I was listening to the lyrics I feel that he says it best.  The chorus simply says the best way to have the easiest life and not a crazy one. 

Be a best friend, tell the truth

And overuse I love you

Go to work, do your best

Don't outsmart your commonsense

Never let your prayin' knees get lazy

And love like crazy

When we read scripture God is telling us to do the same thing that Lee Brice says to do.  Lets begin with being friends.  We should be friends with God treating him like we do a best friend.  When being God’s friend we follow His plan for us, not defying His wishes.  James 2:23 says just that.   James 2:23(KJV) And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  The Lord doesn’t like people that lie.  He wants us to always tell the truth.  Psalm 5:6 (NLT) You will destroy those who tell lies.  The LORD detests murderers and deceivers.  God detests those that lie, those that don’t tell the truth and those that hurt others.  So what about work, yes God wants us to work hard.  Work hard and prosper.  Work hard for Him.  Proverbs 13:4 NLT Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied.  Where does common sense come into play?  The Lord doesn’t want you to be deceived, but you have to use your common sense to know when to stay away from others or not become involved in what is going to ruin you.  He says it best in 1 Corinthians 15:33 ESV  Do not be deceived;” Bad company ruins good morals.”  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done.  When I think of prayer this scripture is always the first one that comes to mind.  Philippians 4:6 NLT Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Of course pray, pray about everything.  Go to your quiet place daily and pray.  You don’t have to even go to your quiet place, you can pray anywhere anytime, when you need to say a prayer say it.    Of course last but not least, LOVE LIKE CRAZY!  Love people, love your enemy, love your family, and love everyone around you even when it is difficult to do.  There were many scriptures on love.  I have attached a website with these scriptures listed, however I chose this one.  Romans 12:9(AMP)  9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. Yes love, love like crazy!

Dear God help us to be the best person that we can be.  We want to be a true friend to You and to others.  Guide us to always tell the truth and assist us in loving everyone.  Allow us to do work for You and follow through with Your plan for us.  Help us to use common sense while dealing with everyday issues.  We promise to pray often.   We know we should pray about everything and worry about nothing.  Above all we know we should love like crazy.  During 2012 help us to love even those that are hard to love.
