On the sidewalk was a lone leaf. It was a vibrant red unlike the other leaves
lingering in the air and on the trees. I
thought to myself, “What beauty this leaf is sharing by lying on the sidewalk
all alone against the white concrete.”
Even though the temperature was cold just seeing the brilliant leaf
brought warmth to my body.
Are you a brown withered leaf on a tree with all the others
or are you the unique vibrant leaf? Are
you hanging onto the limb or are you flying through the air landing on the
sidewalk sharing your colors with others?
It is difficult to disconnect from the norm. It is hard to not be part of the group, but
at times this is what the Lord wants us to do.
He wants us to be the vibrant leaf on the sidewalk sharing His love and
His word with others.
God created each of us uniquely.
You are one of a kind.
He created each of us and gave us each specific gifts and talents that
we are to share with others. If you are
saying you don’t have a gift or a talent you are wrong. We each have something to share we just have
to find it.
There are four things that Joyce Meyer wrote in an article
“ENJOYING WHO GOD CREATED YOU TO BE.”
1.
Speak good things about yourself
2.
Avoid comparing yourself with other women
3.
Focus on your potential instead of your
limitations
4.
Learn to cope with criticism
Pray for the Lord to guide you and lead you to be the unique
you, the you He created you to be. Be the unique you that is led by the Holy
Spirit. Focus on your potential instead
of feeling defeated. Tell yourself,
"I was fearfully and wonderfully made by the creator. He wants me to be vibrant and unique. I am perfect and complete because of the
Him.”
God is thrilled that He created you. You are a unique one of a kind!
