Scrubbing Bubbles, Barkeepers Friend, X-Pro, Mr. Clean you
name the product I use it. Cleaning my
bathroom is no fun. It is brown tile and
the darker the color the harder to get off the scum and mildew that adheres to
the surface. While I scrub and scrub I
think of my life. Our bathroom was being
built during a difficult time for me, but it is the constant reminder of where
I was, but the blessing of where I am.
Have you had scum and build up in your life? Have you tried to scrub and scrub, but you
are left with the residue?
We began the study of Matthew with the First5 app. The study started by going back through the
family tree of Matthew. We learned that
Matthews’s linage goes back to Abraham and David. He also traces back to many other men and
woman. Some of these located on the
branches of his family tree were wonderful Godly people, however some had
acquired a little scum and mildew.
All of us have residue.
Some of the residue is from others, but some are situations and circumstances
that we have brought upon ourselves.
Matthew himself started out with a little scum located within the edges,
but the minute he met Jesus the mildew was washed off. He was only left with the knowledge and
lessons that lingered within the residue of his life.
During this season as we prepare for the Christmas season
become clean by drawing close to God. Be
like Matthew and follow Jesus.
All you have to do is go to Him. The Lord doesn’t have to have Scrubbing
Bubbles to remove the stains from your life He is and always will be Mr.
Clean.
