JEWELS TO YOUR CROWN

Giving, selfless, smart, caring, empathetic- can you name someone that has these qualities?  I have a friend, well I actually have several friends that fit this description, but today while reading I was thinking about a certain friend.  Several years ago I found out that this particular friends family had never made her feel like a Princess on her birthday.  My friends and I put our heads together and had a “Princess” birthday party for her.  We gave 100%, just like she does, to make this day special.  We had crowns, sashes, pins, a cake, decorative plates and napkins.  You name it we had it.  She was so excited.  She wore her crown all day because she was truly a Princess.

Are you a “Princess”?  Yes you are!  In the book “Raising a Princess,” John Cryole gives this definition of a princess:

A princess is a girl who knows she’s a beloved daughter of the King.  She understands that she doesn’t look to the world to tell her who she is.  She doesn’t listen to the world when it tells her, “Here’s what you have to do if you want to be loved.”  She already knows she is loved.

If you have trouble thinking of yourself as a princess think again.  You are worthy of praise simply because you are made in the image of God.  You have the power to make a big difference in this world.  I can hear you saying, “I’m too old to make a difference.”  You are never too old.  God has given you a purpose to go out into the world and step into the mission field doing jobs for Him.

Don’t miss the opportunities that the Lord has given you to go out into the world and add jewels to your crown.  You may have aged out of the Princess category, but that is ok now you are a QUEEN!
