Bond has several definitions but when this word popped into
my head this morning I was thinking about the close and lasting connection that
my daughters and I have. This bond is
very strong just like the super gluing of two materials together. This close interpersonal relationship has
developed over many years. With every
situation and circumstance the bond gets stronger and stronger. This attachment will never be severed.
Do you have unbreakable bonds in your life? There is one bond that needs to be formed
before all others. That is the bond
between you and the Lord. He pursues you
at all times, He is waiting for you to attach and bond with Him.
I found an article that took the word unbreakable and
created an acronym. It explained in
eleven stepping-stones how to have an unbreakable bond with God.
1.
Undivided heart for God. (Cultivate unity)
2.
No fear.
(Let go of fear)
3.
Be in an attitude of prayer always. (Communicate
with God)
4.
Read the Holy Scriptures, which God gave us. (Bring
truth to your innermost parts)
5.
Enlarge your heart. (Expand the territory of
your heart)
6.
Ask God to lead you. (He is your shepherd)
7.
Know the real God
8.
Appoint a specific time to spend with God. (Cultivate
your relationship)
9.
Build a safe relationship with others. (Each
person is created by god)
10. Listen
to God. (Cultivate silence in your life and let him speak to you)
11. Eternal
perspective (prioritize what really matters)
Forming an unbreakable bond with God is the most important
connection you can make. He is waiting
on you. He is near you and is constantly
seeking you. He waits to enter your
heart. When you form this unbreakable
bond with God He will be in the middle of every situation you encounter. He is waiting to embrace the opportunity to
form a lasting unbreakable relationship with you. Form the bond today and stay glued to God
forever.
