BOND
Bond has several definitions but when this word popped into
my head this morning I was thinking about the close and lasting connection that
my daughters and I have. This bond is
very strong just like the super gluing of two materials together. This close interpersonal relationship has
developed over many years. With every
situation and circumstance the bond gets stronger and stronger. This attachment will never be severed.
Do you have unbreakable bonds in your life? There is one bond that needs to be formed
before all others. That is the bond
between you and the Lord. He pursues you
at all times, He is waiting for you to attach and bond with Him.
I found an article that took the word unbreakable and
created an acronym. It explained in
eleven stepping-stones how to have an unbreakable bond with God.
1.
Undivided heart for God. (Cultivate unity)
2.
No fear.
(Let go of fear)
3.
Be in an attitude of prayer always. (Communicate
with God)
4.
Read the Holy Scriptures, which God gave us. (Bring
truth to your innermost parts)
5.
Enlarge your heart. (Expand the territory of
your heart)
6.
Ask God to lead you. (He is your shepherd)
7.
Know the real God
8.
Appoint a specific time to spend with God. (Cultivate
your relationship)
9.
Build a safe relationship with others. (Each
person is created by god)
10. Listen
to God. (Cultivate silence in your life and let him speak to you)
11. Eternal
perspective (prioritize what really matters)
Forming an unbreakable bond with God is the most important
connection you can make. He is waiting
on you. He is near you and is constantly
seeking you. He waits to enter your
heart. When you form this unbreakable
bond with God He will be in the middle of every situation you encounter. He is waiting to embrace the opportunity to
form a lasting unbreakable relationship with you. Form the bond today and stay glued to God
forever.

OUTSMART THE ELEMENTS
Have you ever heard of Rain-X? This product is to help you outsmart the
elements. It is a liquid that is made
for your car to help you improve visibility during driving. There are seven categories of products that
this company developed. Because of its
general water repellent properties, the original formulation is used in a wide
variety of consumer, commercial and industrial settings. The special product has a chemical that
forces water to bead and roll off the car, often without needing wipers.
When a friend brought to my attention this product last
night my mind immediately went to the Lord.
This is exactly what He does for us.
When we turn our lives over to Him He becomes our Rain-X. He is the one thing that helps us with the
elements of life. He protects us and
gives us the visibility we need when we can’t see. He will repel anything that would bring us
harm. The Lord can drive away, resist,
ward off and withstand anything.
Spray on your treatment today, don’t delay. Cover yourself with the one thing that will cast
aside the forces that are here to harm you.
The one thing that can withstand anything. With the Lord alone you can outsmart the
elements and have the visibility you need.

UNTANGLED WITH HOPE
On the other end of the phone was a voice of panic, “Mom
where are you? I have a brush stuck in
my hair! Come home.” I thought to
myself, “It couldn’t be that bad.” How
wrong I was, what a mess. Anna had been blow-drying
her hair and brushing it with a small roller brush, however with one of the
twists and turns the brush was stuck.
Not just a little bit of hair was entwined around the bristles; it was A
LOT of hair. What do I need to help
loosen the hair? I first grabbed the
Pam, sprayed it all over. Then I went
for conditioner. I finally got the
Crisco and a fork. With much patience
and work I finally got the hair untangled from the unforgiving plastic.
Are you stuck? Do you
feel as if you are twisted so tightly that you can’t be released? Are you searching for the ingredient that
will enable you to become what you know you can be?
This senerio led me to the word hope. When we are stuck, when we are in a rut, when
we feel that we can’t get out of the situation we are in, all we need is hope. In biblical terms, hope is closely allied
with faith. In Hebrews 11:1 faith is the
assurance of things hoped for. Hope is
the object upon which we direct our focus and energies. In Romans 8:28 hope is the knowledge that we
are being changed for the better, as we trust in God’s promises. No matter what the circumstances God’s plans
for our lives are for the good, to give us hope.
If you are feeling like the hair wrapped so tightly around
the bristles of a brush don’t give up have hope. Go to God; allow God to renew you, trust His
timing and thank Him for whatever the situation. He will be the Pam, the conditioner and the
Crisco to loosen the bond that is holding you tightly to your current
situation. He will release you from the
bondage that is keeping you from fulfilling His purpose for you. He will untangle you and set you free.

THE PASS
We all want the pass.
When going to a Razorback football game we all like the pass that lets
us into Lot 44. Daddy Jack gives the
pass to the first person that will arrive so that one car can be placed in the
pit (lot 44) for everyone to congregate around.
It is the best parking place out of all three of our passes because it
is in the main lot right by the stadium.
We have to plan before every ballgame who is getting there first to park
the car.
Have you ever needed a pass?
There are many definitions of pass.
You can pass a test, you can pass a car or you can obtain a pass. When we have in our possession a pass we have
a card, ticket or permit giving us authorization to enter or have assess to a
place or event. With that being said I
ask. “Do you have a pass?”
You have to ask yourself where you want to end this
life? Where do you want to have a pass
to enter when you have completed this journey?
The answer we all know and yes we all have a pass. Our Lord and Savior gave our pass to us when
He sacrificed His son for our sins. The
blood of Jesus Christ washed away our sins and we are forgiven. By faith in Jesus Christ alone we can be
saved. Salvation is not found in a
religion or good works, but in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ. All we must do is go to Him to be saved. To do this all we must do is simply come in
your heart as a guilty sinner and believe upon the lord Jesus Christ.
Look to Jesus for the pass.
When you do this you can enter into the lot that everyone wants in. It is very simple to have a plan for eternal
life in heaven. Pray to Him admitting
your sin, asking for forgiveness and tell him it is with Him alone that you are
saved. With this you will receive the
pass!

THE WAY
Since I live in a rural country town our streets are never
crowded. Unlike that of the city,
traffic is slim and it only takes 5 minutes to get across town. When I travel to the city I have learned many
of the back roads from friends that either live there or travel there
often. It is nice to be able to zip
around and get my errands completed in a timely manner. When you are use to less commotion the
craziness of a city street can be over whelming.
Are you ready to get in your car and hit the back roads? Are you ready to jump on the journey to Jesus? With the navigation systems of today we can
gain assess to many routes, back roads and shortcuts. These systems give you the time estimated of
your arrival. And yes we can have this
with Jesus also it is very simple. Many
will take the back road; the easy route to the lord, but some just won’t listen
and will take the long road that is bumper to bumper with the commotion of the
traffic.
The bible is a clearly marked map of the back road that God
has given to us. It provides us the
directions that lead us to eternal life.
The directions include the explanation that God showed His love to the
world by sending His only son Jesus Christ.
It is through Him and Him alone that we will have salvation.
Whether you are traveling on a country road or a city road don’t
let the traffic of life get in your way.
The journey of the back road is easy.
You already know the directions.
As Jesus said, “No one comes to the father except through me.” Jesus is your back road, start your journey
today (it will take less than 5 minutes).
This journey is God given and God directed.
Don’t be overwhelmed with the traffic; live a life that
doesn’t consist of rush hour. Travel
this journey with Him on the back road.
John 14:6New International
Version (NIV)
6 Jesus
answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me.
