This morning is our Christmas musical. As I sit here this morning I have the cd
playing in my computer listening so that I will be reminded of the notes, the
words and the chords. “Welcome to Our
World” is the song that I am going to sing.
It brings me to all the welcome signs that we see hanging on doors and
business. “Welcome,” “Come On In.”
When we welcome someone we are greeting him or her upon his
or her arrival. A welcome is to receive or accept with pleasure. This arrival brings kind words given to the
person. A warm welcome is full of
courtesy, pleasure and kindness.
So I ask are you welcoming the Lord into your life everyday
with kindness and pleasure?
Revelation 3:20 New
International Version
Here I am! I stand
at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come
in and eat with that person, and they with me.
God is always here for us.
He stands at our doors and waits to be invited in. He is patient and persistent in trying to get
us to open the door. He allows us to
decide whether or not to open our lives to Him.
Once He enters He will not leave us.
As we allow Him to do work on our hearts we will realize that the Lord
never will wear out His welcome. He will
guide us to make the wrong right. He
will make our anxious hearts full of peace and confidence. He will take care of our sins and bring our
lives back in balance and keep us on a path for Him.
God has amazing plans for our lives. He will do His work within us when we welcome
Him into our world. Welcome God in your
life today give Him free rein to take care of all areas of your heart. We were born to know God on a personal
level. Leave your door open to God and
He will never have to knock and wait for a welcome.
