Janitor, maid, chef, mom, grandmother, friend, counselor,
baker, nurse, mediator, lifeguard, cheerleader, listener, writer, errand
runner, trash collector, party planner, yard lady, pool woman, stylist, book
keeper, laundry mat owner, handywoman and lifeguard are my titles around my
home. Do any of you have these
titles? A woman’s work is never finished
or completed when you have children. Even
though my children are 25, 22 and 20 I still fall into the role of “Mom.”
God created mothers on the sixth day and on the seventh day
He had rest, of course He did. Creating
a person, that had to be the holder of so many jobs, was hard work. He had to create that which the man has a
hard time becoming, sorry about that men. The woman has to possess the whole package
mentally, physically and spiritually.
She has to be one tough cookie and be able to handle situations and
circumstances that bring joy and sorrow, smiles and tears.
If you feel overwhelmed you should because you are a woman. Our
jobs are never ending and require a 24-hour shift, not a three day 12 hour. Our lives are consumed and overwhelmed with
the daily grind of the titles we hold.
The one way to find rest in the midst of the 24-hour workday
is by reading His word. You may laugh
and say, “I don’t have time for that.”
However it is the best and most rewarding time you can spend. You can find the answer to any problem within
the pages of the Bible. These words help
us with all the battles we must face as being a woman. The wisdom found amongst the words gives us
what is needed for sibling battles, emotional breakdowns, educational worries,
unknown stressors and much more.
Knowing God is what gives us the ability to have demanding
jobs. It is through Him that we have
wisdom to share and love to give. He
gives us the peace we need to weather the storms of being a woman. He gives us real advice that is useful for
everything that is present within our life.
