Handcuffed, imprisoned to the situation you are currently
in. It may be a circumstance that you
put yourself in or it may be something out of your control. Your life has changed. You are living behind the bars that hold you
prisoner. You want your old life back,
but because of the new position your roots have been uprooted from the days
before and you have sprouted into the life you must live today.
In this life you feel like the lone ranger, much like two
weeks after a funeral. If any of you
have experienced that feeling you know what I am talking about. In the beginning or in the end there are many
people there for you, but two weeks later every one has gone on their merry
way. We become sad, depressed and maybe
even distraught. We are now placed in
the dungeon of the dark and dreary.
When locked in this prison cell it is time to learn valuable
lessons. Will they be easy lessons to
learn? Will this process be over
quickly? Probably no is the answer to
both.
What I am drawn to is this:
God isn’t the maker of chaos and confusion, He is the Prince of Peace,
and He is our savior. He will save us
from the prison cell that has locked us into this new life. The chaos and confusion that occupies the
dungeon isn’t His workings. He will unlock the chains, however this will only
be done in His time NOT in ours.
Don’t rush the unlocking of the handcuffs; the most valuable
lesson may be waiting on you tomorrow.
1 Corinthians 14:33New King James
Version (NKJV)
33 For
God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches
of the saints.
