Rain down rain down rain down your love on your people! I feel that we may have to build an arc. It seems that everyday for months it has
rained. Much of the south of our state
has received six to over eight inches of rain in April and May. This is 150 to more than 200 percent of
normal precipitation. We have more than
10 inches of surplus water. It is crazy,
cool and rainy, when it is usually hot, humid and miserable.
Rain, one of Gods great wonders. Rain, part of the water cycle. The amount of water is unbelievable if you
think about it. If one inch of rain
falls on one square inch of farmland during the night, that would be 27,878,400
cubic feet of water, which is 206,300,160 gallons, which is 1,650,501,280
pounds of water. Think of how heavy that
is, so do you think rain is a great wonder?
All that heavy water in a cloud isn’t just dumped on the
earth. It is placed here and there. If it weren’t it would literally crush
everything it fell on. The sky dribbles
pounds of water down on the soil. These
droplets must be big enough to fall for one mile, but small enough not to crush
the plants. It is something special when
you think about it.
When the droplets begin to fall from the sky, go out and
sing in the rain. Thank God for the
wonders that He gives us. He has a
purpose and a plan for everything. The
rain is His love falling down on us and this year we have had a surplus of His
love.
