Back and Planted

I have not been posting on my blog due to the fact that I was focusing my energies on my Facebook page.  To go back and read past days you can log onto Facebook and find the page "Pass On to Press On."  There you will find days and days of reading.  Beginning today I will post everything to this blog also.

I am planting myself in the roots of Christ I hope that you will join me.

Planted

Plant yourself in Christ and you will reap a bountiful harvest.

When you plant a plant do you just plant it or do you figure out where it needs to be planted?  Plants need certain things to grow.  To grow to its full potential a plant needs to be in the right climate, it needs the correct soil, it needs nourishment and it needs air.  If you plant a plant in the sun and it needs shade, it will wither.  If you plant a tropical plant in Alaska you know what will happen.  The conditions are very important for the plant to prosper and grow

We are much like plants.  We are yet but a seed that is planted in our mother’s womb and then we take months to grow into the person we are.  After we are united with the outside world many experiences make us the people we are.  We learn many lessons in life and know what conditions we need to make us prosper.

To me there is only one thing that I need to be planted in to survive.  For survival I must be planted with Christ.  When we are planted with Him we know through His word what we should and shouldn’t do.  We know what we need and what we don’t.  He teaches us many things that will help us to grow to our full potential.

If your roots aren’t wrapped around Christ it isn’t too late.  You can begin today.  Let Him give you the nourishment you need to give you growth.  Through Him all things are possible.

Romans 8:28
New International Version (NIV)
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

Dear God I want to be planted with You.  I want you to take my roots and wrap them in Your word.  Teach me to learn to trust every season that I am in and realize that you are in the center of every season.  Guide me to live for today not worrying about tomorrow or regretting yesterday.
